Dhala
The price of a loan: what the borrower pays the lender, as a percentage a year.

Loan interest, for example: 16%.

In Ethiopia
Since 2024 the National Bank of Ethiopia has set a policy rate that banks' own rates follow. Banks charge borrowers more than they pay depositors; the difference is where most of a bank's income comes from.
